Burncoat is an upper middle class neighborhood in North Worcester. The average real estate price is estimated at $214,842, and the average rental price is estimated at $1,112. This suburban neighborhood is home to medium-sized (three or four bedrooms) and small-sized (studio or two bedrooms) single-family houses and townhouses. Most of the houses themselves aren't as historic as some of the homes found in surrounding neighborhoods in Worcester, but they are still well-established, having been built between 1940-1960.

The Burncoat neighborhood has its fair share of local attractions. The Worcester County Club, which was home to the 1925 U.S. Open, is located on Rice Street. Nature lovers may enjoy a visit to Burncoat Park, a playground and ball field that is also known as North Park. Burncoat Park is found in between Burncoat Street and Wawecus Road.
