North Worcester is a large area on the northern side of the city of Worcester. There are several different neighborhoods that make up North Worcester. These neighborhoods include, but are not limited to, Summit, Burncoat, Indian Lake and Greendale. At its core, North Worcester is a pleasant suburban community that offers something for everyone, whether its a day at the beach, a hike through the woods or a night out on the town. Many hard-working men and women call North Worcester home.

Real estate in North Worcester ranges from single-family homes and townhomes to apartments complexes and condos. North Worcester residents are a mixture of homeowners and renters, though the majority are owners. Depending on the neighborhood, some of the residences were built before 1939, though most of the residential real estate in North Worcester was built between 1940 and 1970. The homes are quite charming, and were built in a variety of architectural styles, including Victorian, colonial, cape, bungalow and ranch. Some of these spacious homes have been renovated into multi-unit apartments or condos.

North Worcester is filled with plenty of opportunities for entertainment, shopping, employment, education and nature. Bored? See a movie at the Showcase Cinemas Worcester North, a multi-screen movie theater on Brooks Street, or check out the stores at the Greendale Mall on Neponset Street. Want to play some golf? Set up a tee time at the Worcester Country Club, where the 1925 U.S. Open was played. Looking for a good place to hike? Head over to Bovenzi Conservation Park, which is accessed off of Maravista Road. Just want to relax? Hang out at one of the parks or beaches located along Indian Lake.

North Worcester is home to Quinsigamond Community College, a public, two-year, commuter college. Also located in North Worcester is Saint-Gobain Abrasives, Inc., one of the world's largest abrasives manufacturers.
